Please note the following before starting the application:

The City accepts applications for jobs currently open. The City cannot accept unsolicited resumes or applications for a position that is not posted.
1. Any person interested in employment with the City of Gulfport must complete an online application.
2. City employees must apply on a City of Gulfport Request For Transfer/Promotion form found on the Human Resources website under Forms. Please do not apply on this site.
3. Applications of qualified applicants are forwarded to the departments for review.
4. Applicant is subject to verification of references and certifications, pre-employment drug screen, background check, and pre-employment physical.

1. An email address is required. If you do not have an email address, you may set one up at a free site (Yahoo, Google, etc).
2. Please record your PIN, you will need your PIN to make changes and updates to your application. Using your PIN gives you quick access to applying for positions.
3. Tab through the application to complete each section.
4. DO NOT use “Refresh” or “Back” buttons from your browser while completing the application.
5. Certain fields require specific formats. Please use the following when entering information: Phone numbers: 999-999-9999, dates: mm-dd-yyyy.
6. The system will check for errors. Errors will be noted by a red asterisk (*).
7. A submit button will appear at the bottom of the page after completing your application.
